DCOP Committees

Communications Committee

The DCoP Communications Committee creates and distributes promotional information about regular and special DCoP events, ensuring that all campuses are informed in advance. It also oversees the website and serves as a sounding board for communications from an equity and diversity perspective, proposing and implementing innovative strategies. This committee includes a chair, co-chair, and additional volunteer members.

Data Committee

The DCoP Data Committee advances discussions on data-driven approaches by exploring equity, diversity, and inclusion data. This committee envisions and hosts the biannual Diversity Data Deep Dive (DDDD) conference. It includes a chair, co-chair, and additional volunteer members.

Equity Lens Policy Review Committee

The DCoP Equity Lens Policy Review Committee reviews University-wide policies, as a part of the new policy proposal process or the comprehensive review process, and provides feedback from an equity, diversity, and inclusion perspective. Individuals or units interested in applying an equity lens to their policy review and development are encouraged to consult the University of Minnesota Equity Lens Guidance. This committee includes 2 co-chairs in addition to other volunteer members. Committee members are expected to review policies and share feedback in advance of the monthly meeting, where feedback is then compiled to share back with policy owners.

Organization Committee

The committee engages in strategic planning and movement building for the Diversity Community of Practice's work in advancing equity, diversity, and inclusion to meet the needs of the University's system-wide community. This committee is composed of the Chair and Co-chair of the DCoP, along with all chairs and co-chairs of each of the DCoP committees.

Programming Committee

The DCoP Programming Committee selects the presentations and activities for the regular meetings, develops agendas, and ensures the participation of presenters. This committee includes a chair, co-chair, and additional volunteer members.
